Meet Danielle | Blogger Series

I really love meeting bloggers who are trying to do something different or make a change. Today I'm talking with Danielle--she wants to make fashion affordable. I love all of her outfit posts on her blog, and the best part is that I feel like I can totally go out and purchase the same things. Fashion bloggers often forget that we don't all have a fashion budget, so I love Danielle's take on this!

Recent Obsessions

Copied from my old blog:

Hello again.

There's always something that I have got to be loving, want to bad in my life, or can't stop using! These are the things that have been keeping all of my attention this past month or so--and I'll admit, I'm pretty obsessed.

Current Obsession

My Converse. I got these shoes kind of on a whim when I saw another stylish college girl rocking the edgy look. Thankfully I did because I haven't stopped wearing them. I pair my converse with black skinnys, regular skinnys, or even leggings.

Body Butter. I bought some cheap body cream from CVS a while ago and love spreading on my arms and legs after I hop out of the shower. It is so moisturizing and especially soothing after shaved legs.

My new iPhone 6. You cannot even believe how extactic I was when I found out that I was ready for an upgrade at the time of the iPhone 6 launch. I rushed over to the nearest AT&T store to pick mine up. It truly is an upgrade from my terrible worn in iPhone 5.

My watch. I think I've mentioned my watch before in another favorites post, but I can't help it--I keep bringing it up. I love the way it looks on my arm all big and chunky! And because it's silver AND gold, I can wear it everyday, all the time, with every outfit.

White nail polish. Truthfully, I've always been a black nails girl. I thought that was the only way to look edgy and match whatever outfit you pulled on. But for Halloween I was a skeleton, so I decided to try something new and go white. Boy do it love it! I think this might be my new color, what do you think?

VS Pink Sweater. Now, I actually don't own this item, but I decided to include it anyway because I have been on the hunt nonstop. I saw one at my local mall the other day; however, by the time I was able to get back in there to purchase one they were all sold out! I have literally been obsessing over this sweater.

What have you been thinking about, doing, or loving nonstop? I want to know your current obsession! Let me know in the comment section below.

Scrunchies from Claire's
I love these so much because they are great for your hair AND look super cute. Whenever I need to throw mine up I use these scrunchies and rock my inner 90's girl!

Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Brush
Thank you Aunt Amy for getting this for my for Christmas! I literally use it every day to give my hair shape and volume. It is the only heat product I will ever have to use in my hair!
E.L.F. Matte Lip Color in Nearly Nude
I wanted a pale nude lip and that's exactly what I can get with this product. Using a matte color opposed to something with a shine means I have the option to wear it plain and be matte or add a gloss over top for a perfect shine.

E.L.F. Finishing Spray
Another E.L.F. product because you can never go wrong with cheap! I have never used a finishing spray before, but I love the way that this one makes me make-up look and my face feel.
E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator
Lots of lip exfoliating products can be really expensive. This one is only $3, tastes great (haha, even thought I don't think you are supposed to be tasting it), and makes my lips feel fresh and new.
Better Homes and Gardens' Wax Cubes in Butterscotch Maple Cream
As another Christmas present my mom got me a warmer. I love the beautiful light it puts off and the warm smell that comes with. Currently this is my favorite flavor because it's not to festive and makes my room feel cozy.
Victoria's Secret Pure Seduction Body Mist
I bought this this month with a coupon to get it for $5!! Sky came shopping with me and we sprayed a whole bunch to pick out our favorite. I like wearing a scent that I know he loves.
Aviator styled sunglasses from Charlotte Russe
As the season gets warmer I often find myself being drawn to the sunglasses craze. These cheapies are from Charlotte Russe and look super flattering with any outfit.

Old Navy's Black Chelsea Boot
I cannot even express how much I love these shoes! I have literally been wearing them every day. They are the perfect shoe when I don't want to wear my chunky boots or ballet flats--a prefect in between.

My Skincare Routine

Copied from my old blog:

Hey critters!

Today I wanted to share my skincare routine with all of you. I have been doing these same steps, using nearly all the same products, and keeping up with this routine for almost a year now.

There are other steps in my routine that I didn't include like my weekly facial mask and how I use my spin brush exfoliater every other day. But, mostly I wanted to share with you the products that I have been using on the daily!

How to curl your hair with a straightener

Copied from my old blog:

Hey critters!

Some of you may already know... but, I absolutely love doing hair. Whenever I am home my sisters beg me everyday to do something super cute that they wouldn't normally do on their own. Lately, my sister Sara has been asking me to curl her hair, and using the straightener is the easiest way in my opinion.
Whether you want to do a little curl on the tips or make some beachy waves, this method can help you accomplish just that!

[Step 1- Brush your hair]
     > Just do it. OMG but be gentle now ladies. I know that there are a lot of girls that just rip that brush through their hair-- you don't even understand how much damage that is causing (it makes me scream).

[Step 2- Turn on the straightener]
     > You can use a low setting. I think that many of you think that in order to get the best curl, your straightener needs to be blazing! I put mine on the lowest setting and go with it; it works fine for me.

[Step 3- Curl them hairs]
     > Use a strand about as big as half of your thumb. Any bigger than that and you might have to go over it a couple times to get a good curl.
     > Put the straightener on the desired spot. Depending on whether you want the full strand curled or just the ends, that is wear you first clamp the straightener.
     > Twist and pull. Just twist the straightener about 45-90 degrees and pull down your hair slowly. As you reach the ends you can twist more... but then that's it!

It's that simple guys!

If my instructions were a little too confusing then check out the video I made! I hope it helps.
