It’s a good reminder for all of you to hire a professional, get photos done, and keep documenting your lives. Since Greysen was born we’ve been getting family photos done every single year.

A letter to my husband on our 5th anniversary

Dear Trevor, Five years of loving you has never went by so fast! We’ve done so much together, grown so much together, and are somehow the same people and different people at the same time. After over five years together I love that we’ve been able to change and become better versions of ourselves while loving each other every step of the way—that’s truly what makes our relationship so great!

I don’t think there’s much need for text here… mostly I just want a place to post and share our family photos. But, serious question—How often do you get family photos? Our goal is to get family photos every year. And then extended family photos for my side of the family and Trevor’s side of the family every other year. That means this year we’re getting THREE different family portrait sessions. Thankfully I LOVE pictures. Here is session #1… our little family.

Greysen is 6 months old!

Time is slipping through my fingers. Literally… this boy is so squirmy. I haven’t been on here to blog since November, because life is just flying on by. Most of my memory keeping and documentation these days is on Instagram because using an app, some photos, and minimal words is a lot easier than writing an entire blog post. But, Greysen is officially (and has been for some time now) six months old. I cannot believe how quickly my baby has grown up. Before we know it he’s going to be walking!!

We're having a boy! | Gender Reveal

Earlier this month we hosted a small get together with family and a few friends at my parents house for a gender reveal party. The plan was to have everyone over for a late lunch/dinner and share the sex of our baby. We chose to do the reveal kind of like we were high school recruits picking a college team. We placed a pink and a blue hat in front of each of us, then after opening the envelope and having our moment together, we then turned to our family and waved our hands over the hats before picking the color that corresponded to the stereotypical blue boy or pink girl. While Trevor and I were ecstatic to know the sex of our baby, we also were just really happy to know that our little one was doing well and appeared happy and healthy.

Pregnancy Update | half way done

I can’t believe that my pregnancy is already over half way through. When I think about baby coming in September I feel like we are forever away, but then when I look at the fact that I am currently (at the time of writing this) 23 weeks pregnant I can’t help but have a mini heart attack and feel super unprepared. That being said, my pregnancy has been wonderful so far, so I can’t complain… but gosh do I wish it would just slow down for a moment.
