Here’s our 2023 family photos! I use these blog posts more as a place to post and share our family photos than as a blog post to educate about memory keeping or anything. It’s a good reminder for all of you to hire a professional, get photos done, and keep documenting your lives. Since Greysen was born we’ve been getting family photos done every single year.
You can check out last year’s family photos here. This year our family photo session also doubled as a maternity session since baby boy #2 was due in about a month. We met with a photographer friend of mine in Kokomo, Indiana at the Wildcat Creek Park for these photos one cold evening. Unfortunately we had to be quick in the cold, and by the end of the session Greysen was very much over it.
It’s wild to look back on these photos and remember how chaotic the moment felt. I don’t love how my hair was flying all over the place. Greysen was being a bit uncooperative. And not everything was going perfectly. But that’s the joy of getting family photos done every year (especially with littles)— we can look back on these moments with crazy memories but also have a small handful of photos we love from the session either way.
