Apr 10 - 16 | Weekly Vlog
Another week, another weekend with friends/family, another full heart. Monday we spent the day after work roller bladin' with Skye, and then we made some very delicious chicken (fake chicken for me) fajitas. We pick back up in the vlog Saturday where we spent some time with Trevor's family. We made ice cream and colored eggs. Sunday was spent celebrating Easter--we decided to do an Easter special video because we have so many great clips. We will have a link for our Easter video soon. Please check that one out for some really funny videos.
My Morning Routine (at work)
My morning starts off around 6am when I go through my "miracle morning routine" (more on that routine for a future blog post). I get ready for the day and head off to work. Now that I have a full-time job, the majority of my day is spent in front of a desk. This can be sedentary and monotonous--but, I believe that the perfect day has to start with the perfect morning.
Apr 3 - 9 | Weekly Vlog
Another weekly vlog coming at you! We started filming this week on Friday again. This vlog was started when we received a few packages in the mail. We finally got our lil wormies (which is super exciting) for composting, and we also got our roller blades that Trevor and I bought one another for Easter (Happy Early Easter). We then had to wear them and try them out, but the night ended sooner than we planned when I had a little wipe out!!
April Reads
Every month I write a Monthly Reads blog post in which I talk about books I read the previous month and books that I plan to read in the current month. Last month, March, I hit a way--the biggest reading slump I've been in all year. I couldn't even finish a single book. Read more on this post to see how I plan to get out of the slump.
Mar 27 - Apr 2 | Weekly Vlog
Hello again! This week was full of spring time fun. The weekend was especially filled with lots of gardening and even the creation of a new worm composting tote. This is all going out on the patio! I've been posting about all of this on my social media lately, so make sure you're following me on Twitter if you haven't already.
April Bullet Journal
April is spring time, and that's what my bullet journal is all about this month. I loved setting up all of my monthly pages for this section! The colors look nice and the design I chose really fits how I'm feeling this month. I hope that you like my April Bullet Journal spread!
All the Bright Places | book review
The book was nominated for the 2015 Goodreads Choice Award for Young Adult Fiction. And I really wish that I had read it sooner. I rated this book a 4 out of 5 stars, and would definitely recommend this to all young adult readers. The month of February was when I truly just flew through books, and this was another one of those that I read in one sitting. I'm on a roll with one sitting books--like, this one, and this one, and this one.
April 2017 Goals
I didn't exactly accomplish all of the goals that I had hoped to, but then again, I focused on a lot of things that I really hadn't planned to. My bullet journal became a big part of last month. And so did my family. Even though things don't always go as planned, often times going with the flow allows for things to work out for the better.
Mar 20 - 26 | Weekly Vlog
Here's a recap of our week: Monday was free ice cream day from Dairy Queen, so we took full advantage of that. Skye even got her own ice cream, which she enjoyed. Wednesday was spent with an awesome Wine Wednesday, even though I drank way too much. On Friday Trevor gave blood and we went on a date night to watch the movie Get Out. After the movie we went home and I fell asleep, while Trevor waited for a surprise to come.
Wintergirls | book review
I'm seriously becoming a huge fan of Laurie Halse Anderson. Her last book that I read I few through in one sitting, and the same was true about this book. As soon as I started reading Wintergirls one Sunday morning, I could not put it down until I had finished the entire thing. I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars, and I would recommend this to teens and young adults who are interested in novels about teens in real life struggling with real life issues.
