My Bullet Journal
My journal is my everything. It's my planner, my blog schedule, and my place to keep my thoughts and notes. I plan out videos in it, I write about my day, I keep track of memories, and I write out difficult times. My journal loosely follows the bullet journal system, but mostly it's created in my own system that works for me.
Gemina (Illuminae Files_02) | book review
This book is the second novel in the Iluminae files series (following the first book: Illuminae). Now-a-days it can be hard to find a second book that is just as good as the first. But this book blew my mind and might even be considered better than the first. I fell in love with these new characters just as I did in the first. I'm already dying for the third!!
What's in my Work Bag
I got a new bag--and there's nothing wrong with wanting to show it off a little. I am proud that I have a nice job where I can afford a designer bag and have a use for it in the work place. I've worked hard to get where I am and I am so thankful for all the people, processes, and steps that it took to get here. For now though, let's just dive right in to what's in my bag.
Feb 13 - 19 | Weekly Vlog
We really enjoy making these videos and sharing them with our families--which is the most important thing to us. We also like having fun with one another, and we truly enjoy spending time with one another. Trevor and I hope that you get a kick out of this videos and like glimpsing a bit into our lives. We love sharing!
Speak | book review
This book was a little underwhelming for me. All of the hype on the internet and numerous amazing book reviews I read about it had really gotten my hopes up; but, in the end, the book seemed to be just another standard novel written to stir discussion. The meaning behind the book, and the fact that this book can be a good resource for students or teens going through similar issues, is the only reason I felt I needed to give it 4 stars.
Feb 6 - 12 | Weekly Vlog
These weekly vlog posts are seriously one of my favorite things to do. I love spending me beginnings of the week to edit and put together every clip and picture that I have from the previous week. It's important to me to just take the time to remember each day and document it in some way.
My Valentine's Day Gift to Him
You can never go wrong with some good books and a nice mug. Trevor loved the gifts that I got him. He had been talking about this trilogy since the day weeks ago when one of our coworkers was raving about how good it was. Trevor said that it sounded like a book that he would like to read (and you know that I was all over that... mostly because I wanted to read them too). The "Hello Handsome" mug that I got him was just a cute and cheap add-on from Walmart. It came as a set with a "Hello Gorgeous" mug, and I thought it would be perfect for us.
February Reads
Introducing a new series to my blog. Every month I plan on writing a Monthly Reads blog post in which I talk about books I read the previous month and books that I plan to read in the current month. I love sharing new books with you all, and I hope that you can share some books with me too!
A Huge Book Haul
In the span of the last couple of months, I've been able to grow my book collection by 12 books. TWELVE!! That's a lot. I am currently obsessed with reading, and it is all I want to do when I get home from work. Check out what I've got planned for the next year to read (maybe the net two, haha).
Jan 30 - Feb 5 | Weekly Vlog
The big thing this week was my first experience of a Kansas Jayhawk basketball game. They lost but let's not talk about it... Trevor promised he would take me back though. He said, "One more chance, and if they lose again while you're here you're never coming back!" Haha.
