Annapolis, Maryland | November 9, 2020
November 9, 2020 I visited Maryland. I haven’t blogged about it for so long because, well, things just get in the way. But here we are—better late than never. I was actually in Annapolis, MD, to visit my sister who lives there. She wanted some holiday pictures to use for cards at the time, and I was happy to take a “work trip” and oblige.
My trip to DC during the 2020 election
I visited one of my sisters, Sara, in Maryland between November 6th-10th. She had moved there earlier in the fall and wanted some visitors, so of course I took her up on that offer. She also wanted pictures for Holiday cards, and as I’m always the go-to family photographer, I was thankful I could say it was a “work trip.” During that time we did many things including doing a day tour of the National Mall and Memorial Parks in Washington, DC.
Documenting during the holidays
Any fellow memory keeping addicts out there know that the holidays are an excellent time to be scrapbooking, journaling, and taking tons of pictures and video! I find that documenting the holidays can be one of the easiest times, and often times it’s very expected. If you’re new to the memory keeping world, now is a great time to start because for some strange reason people are more okay with you take 100000s of pictures during the holidays than they are any other time.
scrapbook update
The other day on my Vlog Channel I talked all about my current scrapbooks and memory keeping projects. So, today I wanted to bring that conversation to my blog, as well, by talking about my current progress on our Honeymoon scrapbook. If you haven’t seen my husband and I’s very first scrapbook together— Our Story scrapbook—then I would highly recommend you read that first before checking out this scrapbook since the sentiments between the two correlate.
We got a kitten
Meet Grizzle. The most wild cat you will ever meet. He is bound to show up in plenty more blog posts, and vlogs, and all the time in our lives, because, well, he literally won't ever leave us alone. He's annoying and crazy and talkative, and never wants to be nice... but, we love him. We snuggle and share pets and give kisses. He will always be ours. Welcome to the family, Grizzle!
May 22 - 28 | Weekly Vlog
This week's vlog is a two-parter. So grab some wine, some popcorn, or whatever you'd like and sit down for some fun! We started the week with some good grub--we even used ingredients from our own garden. Then we took a trip to the local dog park so Skye could get her play on. My favorite clip from Part 1 was when we gave you a little hint of what we go one another for our Birthday. Leave a comment with your guess on what you think it is!

This week seems like it was full of so many different things. I filled you in on our patio garden and the worms that are compositing. We also went for a run (which Skye LOVES to do). And then we ended the week by getting some shopping done so that I can finally start making Trevor's T-Shirt quilt.

After a long weekend away from one another, Trevor decided that we both needed a date night. What better night than a cooking show at your table and a movie night at the theatre? That's how we started our week. The week seemed mostly about love and led all the way up to a wedding! The next clips were of a great weekend at a friend's wedding. The wedding was at Tanganyika Park, which is a wildlife park, and it was so cute. Trevor was a groomsman in the wedding. We partied the night away with friends, family, and even some colleagues from work

In this week's vlog, we show what Trevor was up to on his friend's bachelor trip. They stayed in an awesome house that had many fun things to do like playing pool, darts, beer pong, and cornhole (bag toss). When they weren't playing games in the house, they were out on lake Texoma. They got to go tubing and even tried wake boarding. After all that fun stuff they enjoyed a few evenings of hanging out and eating a bunch of food. Trevor came back with a very bad sunburn (I told him to use sunscreen) and a bit of a cold from being outside too much.

Another week, another weekend with friends/family, another full heart. Monday we spent the day after work roller bladin' with Skye, and then we made some very delicious chicken (fake chicken for me) fajitas. We pick back up in the vlog Saturday where we spent some time with Trevor's family. We made ice cream and colored eggs. Sunday was spent celebrating Easter--we decided to do an Easter special video because we have so many great clips. We will have a link for our Easter video soon. Please check that one out for some really funny videos.
