we’re moving
This is big news! It’s really exciting, it’s really scary, and it's going to be a really big change. But we are so pumped for this. I mentioned in my 2019 post that we would have some exciting changes to announce and this was one of them. If you’ve been reading my blog for the past year or so, you’ll know that firstly I haven’t been posting like AT. ALL. Secondly, that I haven’t been happy lately. And finally, that I constantly say “I hate my job.” Well this is us taking steps to fix these problems.
goodbye 2018, hello 2019
I have mixed feelings about this past year. It was a difficult one. I suffered with depressive feelings and thoughts throughout the entirety of 2018, I struggled to find my purpose and decide what makes me happy, and I didn’t meet as many of my goals that I had set for myself as I had planned. But, it was also a memorable year. I started Lang Videography and filmed quite a few weddings that I’m rather proud of. I opened my Etsy shop, Digidanico. Then most importantly, I married the man of my dreams, my rock, my everything, and together we went on an amazing Midwest road trip.
our story scrapbook
The last week of June in 2017 I bought a Happy Planner with the intention of memory planning in it every week. That lasted about a month (which is actually pretty good, haha), but then life got in the way and I quit doing it. I quickly realized though that this was the perfect place for me to document the “story” of Trevor and I, and it became a place for me to scrapbook the weeks that were important to our relationship. This is the scrapbook of Our Story, the first year together before being married.
becoming a videographer
I wanted to write this post today about Lang Videography. For those of you who may be unaware, I started a videography business earlier this year. We’ve booked a a good number of wedding events so far, and it’s been a great learning experience. I’m really excited for the future of Lang Videography, so I wanted to share some of my work here.
Plan With Me - Halloween Town
Digital Planning is a new found love for me. I discovered it right before I opened by Etsy shop! I was like, “hey I can do this.” It’s digital and creative and saves the planet—literally everything that means anything to me! Every week I plan out a fancy lookin’ spread that encourages me to meet my goals, reminds me what I need to get done, and of course just looks darn cute.
Life update - I'm back!
It’s going to be really hard to give you a full update of everything that has happened in my life this year because, well, it’s been a lot. And unfortunately, I have only posted on my blog 6 times… SIX TIMES! That’s crazy. I remember back in the day that I used to post six times in just one week. So, has hard as I’m going to try, I know I will miss some things.
I opened an Etsy shop!
I'm actually kind of nervous to announce this. I thought awhile about even posting about it, but honestly, this is a huge goal of mine, so why not share! I launched an Etsy shop Sunday, April 22. Woohoo! After about three solid weeks of working my 8-5 job on top of prepping for my launch, staying up past 11pm every single night, and thinking nonstop about this shop, I finally have products that I'm proud of that are live for everyone to see.
Getting my life together.
Sometimes I like to pretend I have it all together, but I do not! I recognize that I should be very grateful for the life and opportunities I currently have, but sometimes I can get sucked into a rut of not knowing where I'm going, what I'm doing, or who I want to be. I feel like I experience these feelings at least once a year really hard--and it's always during the winter.
My PhotoWall Canvas
Nothing brightens a new home like beautiful art on the wall. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with PhotoWall, and they sent me this gorgeous canvas called Manhattan Magnolia! The PhotoWall website offers a wide variety of customizable wall decorations such as murals, wallpaper, and canvas prints.
My 2018 Goals
Every year I do a goals page like this--but most years I wind up forgetting about it. This year, Trevor and I made goals together because we will be MARRIED by the end of 2018 (omg, that's so crazy to think about) and mostly because we just do everything together now. So, hopefully I make some of these goals really come true this time around since I'll have my boo by my side!
