Being 23
First off, yes, I do still smile like that--Trevor can confirm. Secondly, this month has been INSANE! I've been removed from my blog lately (besides my weekly recap posts), and so, I want to apologize for that. It is my birthday month, and I was kind of taking a break at the beginning of the month to relax and celebrate. I spent some time on myself and just kind of relaxed about.
June 12 - 18 | Weekly Vlog
This month is half way through now and it has been soooo eventful. I have not been able to post much on my blog lately, and I'm sorry about that! This past week was really special to me--I got a new tattoo and celebrated father's day by getting my dad a gift and sending it off to Indiana.
June 5 - 11 | Weekly Vlog
This week was almost entirely full of clips focused on Skye--our husky. So we decided to make it a thing. This week's vlog is called "All About Skye" and is full of clips of us giving her love, teasing her, taking her to the dog park and on a long hike, and more. It's super cute (and how can you not love our Miss Skylie??)
May 28 - June 4 | Weekly Vlog
Monday we arrived back to see that we had our birthday gifts at the front door. WE GOT A GOPRO!!! SURPRISE!!!! In our video, you will see that we had to try out the water-proofness of the GoPro so we tested it on my bath water. Well it works! And it's pretty cool footage--you should check it out.
June 2017 Goals
This past month I didn't really accomplish as many goals as I had wanted. I switched planner systems about half way through the month, and isn't it crazy how that affects my goals and my mindset?! I didn't have my goals listed right in front of me for awhile like I did before, so they fell through the cracks. This month I plan on printing out my goals and sticking them everywhere FRONT AND CENTER. I have so many things I want to accomplish this month, and I'm pumped about it.
My Bullet Journal Flip-Through
I filled an entire notebook of memories, to-do lists, experiences, pictures, and more! My bullet journal is a cool way for me to keep a collection of all my things in one spot. I absolutely love flipping through this and seeing how everything has changes, stayed the same, and most importantly, how I've learned and grown.
May 22 - 28 | Weekly Vlog
This week's vlog is a two-parter. So grab some wine, some popcorn, or whatever you'd like and sit down for some fun! We started the week with some good grub--we even used ingredients from our own garden. Then we took a trip to the local dog park so Skye could get her play on. My favorite clip from Part 1 was when we gave you a little hint of what we go one another for our Birthday. Leave a comment with your guess on what you think it is!
Keeping in touch with family
For anyone who knows my story, you'll know that I live states away from my family. They live in Indiana, I live in Kansas--that's about a nine hour drive! So, we don't get to see each other too much. I've only lived in Kansas for a year now and have saved up enough PTO at work to take quite a few trips home, but it's nothing compared to how much time I used to spend with them before. That's why keeping in touch via other means is soooo important.
May 15 - 21 | Weekly Vlog
On Thursday we had a few big storms come through and hail on our vehicles which was unfortunately news. Then, Saturday morning we went to a 5k race to support the American Heart Association. Even though it was rainy, Trevor and I both finished (one right after the other). After we ran we took my car to get a quote on how much hail damage my vehicle (Miss.Bellavitana) received. After we got my car quoted we spent the next 2.5 hours driving back to Trevor's hometown. After a quick talk with his family, we took off for another 2 hour ride to Wichita, KS, for the Bobby Bones Funny and Alone comedy show. We both enjoyed his show and both think we should go to another one. After we got back from the show at 1 am on Sunday, we woke up and ate some breakfast with family before heading home.
My Garden and Compost
If you've been watching Trevor and I's vlogs then you'd know that we recently started a garden on the patio and a worm composting bin. These two things have been my obsession lately. The garden is green and makes the patio look so nice and inviting, and the worms are super good for the environment and crazy fun to take care of.
