I made a promise to myself...

Copied from my old blog:

Good afternoon critters!

I often regret telling you all about my plans of action. Not because you don't deserve to know, but rather because I tend not to do so well at keeping my promises to myself. Now, don't get me wrong, I am not a typical promise breaker--when someone tells me a secret, or I tell someone that I will do something for them I keep that promise; however, if I tell myself I want to do something (like write a Frozen review) it seems that I either avoid doing it entirely, or take forever to get it done. Making promises to myself that no one can hound me about and make me do them is very difficult for me.

Last week or so I made a promise to myself that I would only wear a sweatshirt and t-shirt two times during the weekdays. That means that for 3 out of the 5 days that I am attending class I must get up and actually get myself ready. The reason that I decided to do this was because, well blatantly put, I am becoming a big girl. I am growing up and need to show that in the way that I look.

Working at Charlotte Russe has provided me with the opportunity to begin collecting lots of really cute clothing items and has given me the ability to turn all of those simple items into spectacular outfits. After I cleaned out my closet as part one of this new years' makeover I realized I had too many t-shirt and needed to get rid of some. Getting rid of all of those comfy clothes that I often fell back on as everyday outfits left me with more nice clothes to wear on a regular basis, and why not do so!

That's why I have made this promise to myself--and, I believe that I have been doing pretty good at keeping it so far. I am excited to be a big girl and to dress like one!

I hope you all can support me as I grow up :)
