Don't skip classes
Copied from my old blog:
Hey guys!I'm back again for another "What I've learned this week" update!
If you've read any of my most recent posts basically all you will read is, "School is hard" "College is stressful" "I have a lot on my plate." But honestly, as much as I complain, I absolutely love it all. I like staying busy, keeping my mind working, and always having something to do. However, one thing that I've learned through the course of this week... don't skip anything.
The reason this is such a big deal to me now is because I literally have no time to make up any work I've missed if I decide to skip something like a class. Yesterday I accidentally slept through one of my 8am classes and then only had 15 minutes to get ready for my 9:30am class, and guess what I did--I just skipped both. For some people this isn't really a big deal, and normally it wouldn't be for me either. I would normally just take the time to read over the articles, books, and notes materials that I had missed and work harder to understand that material. But now, I just don't have the time. I would rather suffer through a super early one hour class than spend two hours later on trying to reteach myself everything that I missed.
Here are six more reasons why skipping class just isn't a good idea:
1. It's a huge waste of money
2. You're way more likely to get a lower grade
3. You'll have to play catch up
4. It will undoubtedly become habitual
5. It adds some serious anxiety to your life
6. You'll miss out on more than you think
Does this make any sense?! Because this message needs to be clear--please don't skip classes.
Good luck with you midterms,
