Books I’d read again just for the vibes
Some books I’d reread purely for the ✨vibes✨ Not necessarily because I need to know what happens again… but because I want to feel like I’m there again. 🥹📚 Give me the candlelit libraries, haunted houses, cozy little towns, impossible love stories, suspicious island weddings, and magical gardens. I’m in.
Which book would you reread just for the vibes? 👀 Here are mine…
I have raved about anything Rachel Gillig for years now, and if you’re a consistent follower on all of my social medias then you know that I LIVE for the atmospheric vibes that her books give. “The Knight and the Moth” is definitely one of those books that makes me want to curl up and read with the lights down, candles going, and a fuzzy blanket wrapped around my body by the fire.
“The Guest List” by Lucy Foley is one of the few mystery/thriller novels that I have read. I gave it five stars and the reason for this was mostly the vibes. I’m a wedding photographer on the weekends, so reading about the planning of a wedding and preparing for this special day with a stormy haunting twist felt just right.
“The Enchanted Greenhouse” is part of the Spellshop series by Sarah Beth Durst. While “The Spellshop” is just as vibey of a book, something about exploring an enchanted greenhouse with magical plants and species juts feels like a even more magical experience.
Sometimes a book can be good vibes just because the story and love interest is so good. That’s how I feel about most of Ashley Poston’s books, but especially “The Seven Year Slip.” Between the magical apartment, the love interests, and their impossible timing, the vibes are vibing.
Okay, okay, hear me out… the Hunger Games on their own are not vibes!! Dystopian are not the vibes we want, but the NOSTALGIA I get when reading old books from my childhood are totally the vibe. For me, one of the most prominently nostalgic books that make me think of middle school or high school is “The Hunger Games.”
And then lastly, if you’re looking for a kick-your-feet chuckle-to-yourself have-a-good-time type of book than anything by Lynn Painter will fit the bill. “The Love Wager” is one of those will-they-won’t-they type story that give immaculate vibes.
Maybe that’s the best kind of book: the ones that leave you missing a place that never actually existed. 🥹 The stories you’d happily step back into just to wander those halls, visit that little town, fall in love all over again, or spend one more evening somewhere a little more magical than real life. ✨📚 Because sometimes it’s not about remembering every plot point. Sometimes you just want to go home to the feeling a book gave you.
