HELLO AGAIN

Hello again! It’s been forever. Honestly, it’s because I’ve been focusing soooo much lately on my business, LVP Studios. If you haven’t been keeping an eye on that, then you definitely should!! We’ve been posting regularly to our website, Facebook, and Instagram. But everything ties together... it’s all about memory keeping— this blog, my business, youtube, everything. All the other things though had to take a back seat to getting my photography/videography business going... you have to make money in life, am I right? Haha. But I miss telling you all about the behind the scenes, filling you in on my life, and teaching you about memory keeping and how you can do it too.

Firstly, let me fill you in on what you may have missed. It’s really not a lot since we’ve all been shut away during lock down, forced to do different things than what is usually “normal,” and not traveling or going out near as much. Last you heard from me we were talking about spring photos. Unfortunately, that post took a nose dive since a lot of us were unable to take part in some of these typical spring activities. Trevor and I were actually just getting back from a trip to Kansas around this time. We got to visit family for the birth of our newest nephew, Declan. You can see the vlog here.

I died my hair purple while stuck in quarantine. It was something I had talked about doing for the longest time, and quarantine at home seemed like the best time to do it. I convinced one of my sisters to tag along and do it too, and it wound up being a crazy adventure, haha. We bought dye, not enough dye, did our hair very badly, got more dye, but different dye, and really messed up my bathroom. It was a roller coaster ride that led to dark and vibrant purple hair.

Then the wedding season started (this is where I really fell off the blogging rails). We had back to back weddings in June. While a lot of people experienced slower seasons this year due to COVID rescheduling, our season seemed only to get more jam packed. Because we offer videography services, people who may have not considered video were now booking it in order to record their special day for those who could not or chose not to attend. We offered special options for our brides during this time and worked hard to keep everyone safe and well served.

In July, we posted a series of vlogs about my trip with one of my sisters to Charlotte, NC. It was so fun, but the end of the trip ended sooo badly. You’ll just have to watch for yourself if you haven’t seen. Don’t worry though... we have good new now that I’m hoping to share soon.

I should also mention that during this time I got realllly sucked in to a game called Animal Crossing (I have an old island tour video here). If you haven’t heard of this game I would be safe to bet that you’ve been living under a rock because it is everywhere. It’s a simple, casual, life sim game made for the Nintendo Switch. Unless you’ve played it yourself or seen someone else do so, it’s hard of explain why everyone loves it. I literally have hundred of hours sunk into trying to make my island the most adorable, gathering the most diy recipes, and just soaking in the amazing in game sunsets that I can.

Something about this game really brought everyone together in a time that we were all so far apart. I think that’s why it really hit it off this season. The developers could not have released it at a better time.

My island is called, Koriko. It is a mix between my photographer dream island (with a wedding ceremony spot, reception dance floor, and wedding banquet home), as well as, Kiki’s Delivery Service vibes with cute little bakery elements, witchy areas, and all of the Miyazaki things that I can fit in (which really works well in this Japanese style game). Can you tell I’m obsessed? I could just babble on forever about this sort of stuff. If you’d love to see more Animal Crossing content from me, be sure to follow my Gaming Instagram. It really needs some love.

Lastly, and most recently, I got a studio!! This is huge for me and my business, and the reason that I keep saying I’m is busy. I have really focused hard to get where I am now in just over a year. Not only am I booking so many sessions, I also have had a wedding every weekend for the last month or so. I mush and gush about this sort of stuff on my LVP Studios Instagram all of the time. I also share more behind the scenes stuff in my stories if you’re interested in giving us a follow and checking our the progress of my business.

I posted one vlog about the studio awhile ago, and then fell off the YouTube tracks. I have lots of footage from us making the studio into what it is now... but I just haven’t taken the time to edit it all into a few videos yet. The studio is still a work in progress (and probably always will be). It was actually an apartment back in the day above my grandparents’ detached garage. It’s surrounded by acres of amazing land: apple trees, a pond, the river, pine needles, the works!

And now you’re all caught up for the most part. I’m so motivated and focused as of lately, and I wanted to jump back into everything. I knew I needed to take on these new tasks slowly though, so for now, here’s just a life update. I’m not sure how often I will be posting on here... is be sure to follow me on all of the other social media channels mentioned and keep and eye on LVP Studios for details of what’s going on when I’m not posting on this blog.

Thank you all for constantly supporting me. I know that everyone reading this has had an interest in my life, watching me grow, change, and succeed. I would not have been able to achieve any of this if it wasn’t for the supporters in my life like you who keep me going and fill my cup. I will always do my best to return the favor for you.
