Holiday Tea Time Recap -- No. 005, 006, 007

I haven't done a Tea Time post in awhile. I kept track of everything going on over the holidays, but instead of posting on my blog, I focused on spending time with my family. It was a great holiday season, and I had a great time with some people that I don't always get to see.

Looking back through these past Instagram pictures made me realize just how much happened in my life these past few weeks. Lots!! I can't believe that in such a short time I've done so much. Sorry, that this is all merged into one super long post--but try and keep up, hehe.

I got my fall semester grades back and am pretty happy with my GPA for this past semester. Now, only one more semester to go before I graduate. Can you believe that I'll be done with school?? It seems so surreal to me. I keep asking myself, "what am I going to do with my life?!" and it kind of scares me. For nearly all 21 years of my life I have been in some sort of schooling system--thinking about the world without school is really weird.

Before heading back to our hometown, S and I enjoyed an Indiana University Men's Basketball game courtesy of his work. We had a bit of an issue getting in (who would have thought that you aren't allowed to have DSLR cameras at a bball game?!) But after finding our seats we really had a blast. This was my first time EVER at any IU sporting event (in the words of my cousin, "Do you even college?").

And then we headed home to visit family and spend Christmas with our loved ones. We played our annual gift exchange bingo game, ate some amazing food, and got some really thoughtful gifts. This was the first year that S and I decided not to do gifts for each other but rather just spend $10 on a stocking stuffer. However, he cheated and got me something a little out of the budget--an Alex and Ani lotus blossom bracelet. I love it!!

This picture above is my Instagram Top 9 from 2015. It was fun to look back before the new year at how I did on my social media sites and write out my goals for the upcoming year.

The whole holiday season was a blast. I had tons of fun playing board games, rocking out to music, opening presents, and spending time with family. One of our holiday traditions is blueberry and icecream on waffles. We have it every year on Christmas day. It's seriously the most unhealthy yet tasty breakfast you will ever eat and that's why I absolutely love it!!!

After the New Year, S and I drove back home to our house and had a while to chill. It was nice to relax again before my new semester classes started. I have made a strong effort to start reading more this year and got a lot of reading done in these past couple of days. I even started a book club--you can join here if you want!

Another resolution of mine deals with improving my skills on the mat. Yoga has been a new addition to my life and it impacts me and my feelings every day so much. The other day Zoey was feeling extra lovey dovey and was begging for all of the attention while I was trying to get my morning workout done. She would lick my face while I was in down dog and even hop on my back while I was trying to hold a plank. It was seriously the cutest thing ever, and I didn't mind the little distractions in the least bit.

And now you're all caught up. This Monday starts my final semester in college and it gives me chills to think about that. I am excited and nervous, but I think that these routines and resolutions that I am accomplishing now will help me in making a successful future.

P.S. All of the images above come from Instagram!!
